Best Way To Get Your Picky 4 Year Old Some Nutrition #DailySunshine

Four. Yes, that's right, my oldest child is on the back side of four years old. Geez, that happened fast. He such an energetic, fun, exciting child. He loves the outdoors more than anything in this world, well, that and dogs. My pumpkin (his nickname since he was merely days old) will be four on the last day of February. It weird to think that he will only have a year and a half from his birthday until he starts school.

Although he has so many great qualities, eating healthy, or even a healthy amount is not one of them.

Seriously, he would rather eat fried chicken fingers and french fries 5 days out of seven instead of something semi healthy. I mean, I have offered him tons in the way of variety, and he just crosses his arms, puckers his lips and says, 'I don't like that'....as if he would know because most of it he's never tried.

I had recently been contacted with the opportunity that would so greatly help with this issue. The makers of Beachbody now has Daily Sunshine - a delicious smoothie that kids can drink daily to get all the nutrition their little picky bodies need. It comes in Strawberry Banana, and Chocolate flavors. We make one for Dallas once a day, normally in the morning when he wakes up - a delicious way to start off the day!

We received a mix box of 24 packets, 12 of each flavor and boy did he love it! If you look at the ingredient list - all organic ingredients. This is the kind of stuff we need to be putting in our children's bodies.

It's so simple to make: fill up the Daily Sunshine bottle (which has a compartment on the bottle to take their healthy snack with them on the go, we usually go with multi-grain Cheerios), fill the bottle up to 8 oz with water or any other liquid you want to use, pour in the flavor of mix you want, and shake! shake! shake! Nearly instant delight with just a few shakes. You can also use it to whip up a healthy legit shake in your blender.

(Sorry, low lighting = terrible picture quality!)

I think the idea for this product is absolutely amazing. I know for a fact my child hardly ever gets all the nutrients he needs from his fruits and vegetables, and this helps get them what their body needs to thrive while giving them a tasty treat while doing so. Since we first tried Daily Sunshine, I have seriously been woken up every morning with the phrase, "I need strawberry banana smoothie"...or chocolate - whichever he's feeling in the mood for. I have limited him to one a day, so we get it with breakfast. He tells me on a daily basis how delicious it is, and that strawberry banana is his favorite. The way I see it is, if a kid begs you for it and it's healthy for them, then let them have some. I mean of course, one a day, but let them choose what time of day they want it and see how excited they'll be for something that'll fuel them through the rest of the day.

Daily Sunshine is nutritionist developed, pediatrician approved, and from my personal experience - kid approved. This is recommended for kids age 4+, although mine isn't quite 4 years old, he is very close. For us, one of the best attributes to this shake is there's no dairy! Dairy messed with his digestion system and slows down how often he goes, so that was an absolute winner for us! It's also non-GMO, made with organic pea protein - a great substitute for dairy protein, healthy fats, calcium & vitamin D, and made with fiber and probiotics (<- all the good stuff).

I would absolutely recommend this to all parents for their children. Especially those picky ones, this will get them what they need to run on daily. Absolutely 5 stars from us!! You can purchase from their site for $129.99 (for the mixed box we received) and $6 for the bottle.
