Magic Bullet Review *Holiday Gift Guide 2016*

With one holiday behind us, and another quickly racing upon us - although you want to sit around and do absolutely nothing, you can't. You have last minute gifts to buy, recipes to figure out for Christmas dinner with the family, and the chaos of everyday life. Trust me, I know how it is. If you follow me on Facebook, you know this review was supposed to be posted a few days ago, well Mother Nature decided to cause some chaos of her own by throwing us some much needed rainfall (went three months without any measurable rain), with some embedded tornadoes, and then the next night we had storms spinning tornadoes off what seemed like every little pop up storm from 8 pm until 1 am! When the sirens went off here, we quickly headed 1/4 mile down the road to the storm shelter at my grandparent's home and while on the way there - the lightening at the end of the road revealed a tornado, either on the ground or very close to it. So, I have been a bit tied up.

Anyways, I survived and am back to bring you more holiday awesomeness! With this Christmas jibber jabber, we have something to help with the gifting and meal/dessert preparations this year.

Introducing to you all, the Magic Bullet. The revolutionary kitchen must have that can do it all. It can chop, puree, mix, whip, grind, and so much more. You can make homemade guacamole, divine smoothies, whip cream, toppings, frozen cocktails, just so many things are possible.

The Magic Bullet comes with the following: high power base, stainless steel cross blade, tall cup, small cup with comfort lip ring, party mug and comfort lip ring, two stay fresh resealable lids, flip top to-go lid, and 10 second recipe book and manual.

Now, that's a lot of stuff for just $39.99 (with free shipping).

I think so far, my favorite use for it is its ability to grind coffee grounds. I recently featured Bean Box (a subscription for fresh roasted coffee beans), and I ran across the issue of having no way to grind these beans up. While panning around the room in my kitchen, I looked at my Magic Bullet and thought, "Now, didn't I see something about this thing grinding coffee beans?" and once I got the box and looked at it, there is was, grinding coffee beans! Yes, such a lifesaver!

I used the small cup, screwed it onto the cross blades, full of coffee beans of course, then started playing around with this thing. You can just push down on the top of the cup to create a rhythm to it, like pulsing sensation, or you can push down and slightly twist to make it constantly grind - which I found the best for when you are grinding up the whole bag at once. I like mine to be pretty fine, not too many chunks in it - and doing it the way I did accomplished just that.

Of course, for my trial run, I only used enough beans to grind up and make one half carafe of coffee. The aroma of these coffees when you unscrew the blades are absolutely mind blowing and delightful. My whole house smelled like a coffee shop - no complaining here!

I did however at one point attempt to chop a bell pepper without learning the proper techniques first, and turned it into the perfect bell pepper puree. I'll admit, it does take some getting used to, or you may get frustrated easily. I do, however, have plans to use this more often in the future for recipes, and once she is born and gets a few months on her - to make little sister some delicious baby food!

The Magic Bullet really is the jack of all trades in the kitchen. It's the perfect do-it-all appliance that can reduce the amount of bulky appliances hogging up your valuable kitchen space. It's so small, that it and the contents fit absolutely perfectly in my cabinet with more room for other things as well. Therefore, when I'm not using it - I can tuck it away out of my preparation area for our meals until I do need it.

This would make an excellent gift for anyone who spends a ton of time in the kitchen, especially those who like to experiment with new recipes. Remember, it's only $39.99 with free shipping so it's definitely a bargain buy, that won't break you, and will leave plenty of funds to purchase everyone else's gifts.
