Ease Your Stomach With a2 Milk!

Many people in the world today suffer from a large array of digestive issues, but one thing many of you may not know is, if you're sensitive to the proteins in milk - that'll cause you a fair amount of discomfort on its own.

My son and I, we both suffer from discomforts brought on by milk - cow's milk. I personally suffer from water based acne-like bumps along my hairline on the edges of my forehead. He has no symptoms other than a bubbly sounding stomach, and constipation. We have tried so many products - such as: almond milk, rice milk, soy milk (for me), lactose-free milk, etc. Some helped solve our issues but had other issues that we didn't exactly like. For example, almond milk is too thick for me, and the original taste awful (but you can't use vanilla or chocolate to cook much of anything with), rice milk is like water and is just disgusting in my opinion...and lactose-free cost so much!

When I ran across a2 Milk Company, I was very curious as to how they were different from other milks, and how well we could tolerate it. So, what did I do? I sent them an email, of course! This is such a large scale problem among society that I felt like I would give it a try and share with everyone so they can try it for themselves.

They were so very generous and sent us a few lovely goodies, which made us genuinely feel like a part of the a2 family!

We received 3 coupons for free 1/2 gallon cartons of milk, three of those cute little cows (my son is obsessed with cows so this really got him excited), two shirts, a hat, two reusable grocery bags (that's what I use them for anyways), and a travel bag.

As I gathered my information, I became more and more excited for us to try this - thinking, "This could really be the answer to our problems!".

(Information below taken straight from the a2 Milk website)

"Ordinary cows’ milk contain a mix of both A1 and A2 proteins. Yet, only a2 Milk® comes from cows selected to naturally produce only A2 protein and no A1 – and that makes all the difference.
Independently published research support that the A1 protein in ordinary cows’ milk might cause discomfort in some of us. If that’s you, a2 Milk® may help. But for the unique benefits of a2 Milk® to work it needs to be the real deal – true a2 Milk®, from cows that naturally produce only the pure A2 protein and none of the A1 – nothing added and nothing taken away."
I won't lie, I was very skeptical as to if this would really help us to be able to once again enjoy real cow's milk. Regardless of my initial thoughts, I was very happy. When looking for a2 Milk, be sure to use their store locator, as I found that the closest store to me that carried it was nearly 30 miles away, in the Huntsville/Madison area. The only store near me to have this was Sprouts Farmers Market, which I had never in my life heard of, but thankfully my sister had. So, we packed up and went on a trip!

For those of you, who like me, had never stepped foot inside Sprouts, it's like an organic/healthy superstore. Everything healthy that you could think of - they have it! We went in, and pondered around until we ran across the milks. At first I was starting to get a bit bummed as I didn't see it!

After looking twice, we found the only kind they had left! I'm not a fan of 2% milk but that was the only kind of a2 they had left, which also told me, it must work some - for them to be nearly sold out! We grabbed up 3 of the 4 they had left and headed for checkout.
Fast forward to that night, my son was wanting some cereal so I thought, "This is a great opportunity to try this out."....so that's what we did. I fixed me some as well, and I was very surprised. This milk was the same consistency as normal milk, and taste just the same! He absolutely loved it, constantly asking for some, and it felt nice to not have to turn him down. I personally have no tummy troubles at all! A complete shock. I am more in love with the fact that it's the same exact as any other cow's milk, just without the troubling protein.
Although, at this moment, I am unable to make regular trips to Huntsville to get this delicious treat, I'm hoping that soon our local Publix will get some in where we can become an all out a2 Milk family, for good. Some may find $4.29 for half a gallon expensive, but I personally don't think you can put a price on your children's health, or your own for that matter. If you have problems with cow's milk, go try a2 Milk, but only if you have a sensitivity to it, if you are allergic, don't jeopardize your health to try it. Otherwise, a2 Milk has been a great find, and I think anyone who tries it will love it as much as we did!
