View Guard Review + Giveaway

The other day, my husband came home from work, and told me an interesting little story. Let me just say he has a new iPhone 5s that he just got at the beginning of November, it has an otterbox case, and his work is fencing, which requires him to drive big machines like tractors and so on. Anyways, he came home and said his heart has sunk while at work, because he was driving the tractor, and realized he had dropped his phone, and ran over it with the tractor. I thought, oh great, he's going to get out his phone and it is going to be in a million pieces. To my surprise, the otterbox case withstood the weight of the tractor and didn't break, but the front and back to the case won't hold completely aligned now. Atleast his phone was saved, because iPhone 5s are not cheap.

So, with his case out of commission, he needed an alternative way to keep atleast the screen in tip top shape. I had the opportunity to review a ViewGuard 360 Degree Anti-Glare Privacy Filter screen protector for the iPhone 5. This couldn't have arrived at a better time, three days after he almost destroyed his phone. He was eager for a new protector at the least because his work is dirty, so he would get fingerprints all over the screen, they work around gravel and things that if his phone was to drop and land screen down, it would definitely scratch it. So, we put it on and give it a try. I was going to use photos of my own, but their photos explain the filter better.

The filter is a tinted filter, and it is so effective at keeping wondering eyes of those beside you from seeing what is pulled up on your phone. The filter is black, so if your phone is white, it will appear black.

When your phone is on, you will see no difference on your screen, except a light tint, but it doesn't bother anything.

And when it's off, it looks like nothing is there at all.

He absolutely loved this filter. At first, the screen being a tad tinted bothered him, but he got used to it, and now he loves it. He has touched his phone with junk all over his fingers, and the filter cleans so easily compared to the screen. This filter has some amazing features:

360 Privacy:

Safeguard your screen everywhere you go - create a 360° No-Spy-Zone around you. Even if you are in a crowd of people, your screen is visible to you, and you only.

Anti-Glare and Anti-Reflection:

Anti-glare matte coating, which reduces glare caused by sunlight and fluorescent lighting. This allows you to use your device in bright settings including office buildings, cafes, parks and near windows.

Anti-Fingerprint:

ViewGuard® 360° Anti-Glare Privacy Filters are resistant to fingerprints and smudges, easily wipe away. Fingerprint resistant coating also maintains a vibrant and crystal-clear appearance to maximize clarity and enjoyment of your screen.

Scratch Resistant:

Superior durability and scratch resistance.

So, as you can see, this is probably your best bet when it comes to a screen protector. View Guard doesn't just have filters and protectors for phones, but for laptops and TV's as well. So, if you have young children and just got a new flat screen TV and you're worried about them scratching up the screen, check ViewGuard's website and see if you can't get yourself a protector for it.
