Educational Insights Review *Holiday Gift Guide 2016*

As the holidays approach, we find ourselves searching for the best gifts for our kids. Especially things such as computers, tablets, etc. I won't lie, my two year old has a tablet - one that he is an absolute expert at using. I have come to find that although it will occupy him, it wasn't the absolute best thing for him to have because honestly, he sort of has a dependency on it. With that and our living room TV, too.

This year we are going to include more educational gifts into his Christmas, things that he can enjoy alone, or with other children - that will also teach him something.

We got the awesome opportunity to include Educational Insights in our Holiday Gift Guide this year. We received one of their My First Telescope and a Design & Drill Race Car. With our son being in love with cars and having a new found amusement for the moon and stars, picking which gifts we would like to include were absolute no brainers!

The My First Telescope has a ten times magnifications, which still leaves room for a wide view, to further help the child understand what it is they are seeing, and to keep them interested in it as well. It's perfect for preschoolers who show any kind of fascination in space, and during the warmer months - would make a great toy for getting your youngsters outside to enjoy the weather and the view.

It has a tabletop tripod to keep the telescope stable while your little one admires outer space.

Another great feature is the goggles around the eye piece and the guided nose rest for comfortable seeking of the stars.

The Geo Safari Jr. My First Telescope would be absolutely great for your little one, and is for ages 3-6. You can purchase from Educational Insights for only $29.99. I decided to put this up for my son's Christmas gift and I am anxiously counting down the days until I can see his face light up!

Next we have the Design & Drill Power Play Vehicles Race Car. This toy allows your little car lover to build their very own race car. They snap on the little snap-on pieces, then use the mini motorized drill that comes in the kit to drill in the bolts - customize with the stickers provided and soon they will have their very own race car up and running.

Don't forget the mini drill requires 3 AAA batteries that aren't included!

What makes it so special is that they built it themselves. I think this is going to make a great fun project for my husband and son during Christmas break (for my husband). My husband and son are both into playing with toy cars together and I think building one would be tons of fun for them. This was something else I thought would make my son's Christmas just a little bit better, so both toys were put up in the top of my closet, anxiously awaiting to be put underneath the tree (whenever I may decide to put it up). This toy is for ages 3-6 and is only $21.99, which is a great deal!

Educational Insights has a vast array of different toys that will help your child have fun while broadening their learning horizons as well. Instead of buying your small child new technological things this year, why not opt for a learning toy that requires them to be physical with to drain them physically for a good nights sleep, but also help them to learn new. important things. Be sure to follow me on Instagram (@SettledInTheSouth) for updates and photos of my son tearing into these gifts on Christmas and enjoying them as well.
